My favorite book is The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, by Tom Wolfe.  This book is about Ken Kesey the author of "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" took an epic adventure across America in a psychedelic painted school bus dubbed "Furthur". Ken Kesey and his rebel band take numerous amount of psychedelics while crossing America in the 1960s.
The psychedelic adventure across America was filmed but the footage was never released until Director Alex Gibney and Allison Ellwood gained access to the raw footage and created Magic Trip. The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test is an easy read and is pointed towards the younger generation.
For anyone with a true childhood and a great imagination i highly recommend this book to you.
